Amaravathi is accessible to all places: CM

AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu today said Amaravathi has been chosen for construction of new capital city to ensure easy access to different places across the State.

The Chief Minister performed special puja with mud and water collected from different places in the country besides two Telugu states and kept at Acharya University for using it on the day of foundation laying ceremony. “All-religious prayers” were also conducted on the occasion.

AP Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, ministers Chinarajappa, Yanamala, Narayana, Kollu Ravindra, Achennaidu and others were present. Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said Amaravathi has a great history and there is Amaravathi gallery in London museum. The foundation laying ceremony would be a historic event. On the day of foundation laying ceremony, mud and water collected across the country would be sprinkled by a helicopter at Amaravathi. (NSS)
