Position: Windows Administrator
Experience: 4 – 7Yrs
Skill Set: Windows, Active Directory, DNS, IIS
Educational Qualification: B.E, B.Tech, M.Tech (Computer Science Preferably), MCA or any other equivalent experience.
Knowledge on Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 server platforms.
Administration and troubleshooting of IIS 6/7/8 environments, deploy applications and Virtual hosting.
Administration and troubleshooting Application stacks hosted on Tomcat, JAVA Jrun servers (ColdFusion).
Managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI); Knowledge of SSL certi cates, CSR generation, asymetric keypair etc.
Administration and management of Emal messaging system.
Good understanding of DNS. Managing and administering DNS servers.
Excellent Documentation skills – Documenting SOPs and Infrastructure documents.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Experience in Patch management
Experience in conducting Vulnerability assessments and Fixing of OS vulnerabilities
Design, implement and maintain enterprise server systems.
Provide technical support to users/customers for server related services.
Extensive knowledge on Active Directory Migration, Management and Implementations.
Added Advantage if Knowledge on Microsoft Exchange Migration, Management and implementations and day to day support.
Server Administration includes Day to Day Incident Management
Hands on Experience in setting up Cluster Environment and day to day support.
Hands on Experience on setting up File server and day to day support.
Patching, Upgradations, migrations, Implementations.
Hands on Experience on Managing Supporting DELL, HP, and IBM Hardware.
Should have Strong knowledge on RAID Technologies and configuring.
Should have Exposure to Backup Technology.
Antivirus setup and day to day support.
Hands on Experience on Setting up DNS and DHCP Environment which includes Day to day support activities.
Should be capable of doing Root Cause Analysis on a problem.
Should have good exposure to VMWARE Environment preferably VSphere 4.0 and above versions, Management which includes, Setup, Management and Day to day support.
Should have good knowledge on ticketing systems and its flow.
Should have good exposure to Documentation.
Should be capable enough to Raise Change requests and follow up with the client and get it approved.
Perform capacity planning for VM environment Analyze and identify all virtualization teams’ manual tasks, procedures and duties and automate these tasks to improve efficiency and minimize discrepancies.
Provide input to the higher-ups on improving the server infrastructure and process and policies.
Added Advantage knowledge on Web Infrastructure Support with experience on Administering and Managing IIS, Apache and Tomcat webservers
