Akbaruddin Owaisi slams Minorities Finance Corporation

Hyderabad: Floor Leader of MIM, Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi told in the Assembly that TRS Govt. is serious about the development of Minorities but the functioning of Minorities Finance Corporation is deplorable. He was participating in the Assembly discussions on the Dept. of Minorities Welfare.

He further told that with the reports of various commissions and committees, it has become evident that the Muslims are more backward than SCs. The Govt. should therefore extend all the benefits which are available to SCs. Students belonging to Minorities should be exempted from payment of fees in professional colleges. Wakf properties should be protected.

He also told that if Wakf Board is bifurcated, Telangana Wakf Board will face financial crisis. In order to strengthen the financial position of Telangana Wakf Board, Govt. should instruct GHMC to pay the compensation of the loss of Wakf properties in connection with road widening and metro rail projects. He told the Govt. to pay Rs. 150 crore to meet the damages caused to Wakf properties.

He pointed out that Hajj House is a controversial issue. It has been constructed on Telangana land with the income of Dargah Hazrath Ishaq Madani of Vishakhapatnam. He made an objection for not inviting any official of Minorities Finance Corporation in the meeting of bankers convened by Agriculture Minister.
