AIYF activists burn KCR in effigy

Telangana State Council of All India Youth Federation (AIYF) today burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Babu Jagjeevan Ram’s statue opposite Nizam College demanding that the latter release notifications to fill vacant posts.

Speaking on the occasion, AIYF State general secretary B Anjaneyulu said KCR, who had assured one job to every household, has miserably failed to release job notifications even though the State government completed 18 months. It was not proper on the part of KCR to initiate steps to fill only police jobs, he said, adding that there were 2000 vacant posts in Group-I category and 6000 posts in Group-II category, 12,000 posts in Group-IV and 10,961 teacher posts.

The protestors said some 20 lakh students have completed their degree and waiting for employment opportunities and spending thousands of rupees for coaching. He warned the TRS government that the AIYF will launch a movement with unemployed youth if the government failed to fill vacant posts immediately.

Praja Natya Mandali State president K Uppalaiah, Hyderabad South Zone president G Harinath Goud, office bearers R Balakrishna, A Vijaykumar, D Chandu, Dasharath Naik, MD Mahabub, R Madhu, G Vinath, B Purushotham, G Prakash and others participated in the program. (NSS)
