Air France plane evacuated following bomb threat

London: Air France plane has been evacuated in Amsterdam before take off following a bomb threat made on Twitter under the name Jihadi John.

According to the Daily Star, the tweet said that people should “forget Russia” and “wait for what will happen” on the Air France flight, due to take off at 1.45 pm UK time.

The area around the plane, scheduled to travel from Amsterdam to Paris, has been cordoned off on the airfield.

Earlier on Saturday, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced heightened security measures for all traffic going to and from France.

The threat comes less than 24 hours after at least 127 people were killed in a series terror attacks in Paris.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the attacks. (ANI)
