Affordable smartphones driving growth in India: SanDisk

New Delhi :Storage solutions provider SanDisk today said boom in affordable smartphones market has helped sales of its products in the country.

“The low-cost affordable smartphones has driven sales for us in India. Sales of USBs and camera (memory) products are also growing, but significant growth has come from smartphones,” SanDisk Country Manager and Director India and SAARC Rajesh Gupta told reporters here.

SanDisk today launched a new product ‘SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick’ in the Indian market, priced Rs 2,790 onwards.

Snapdeal to offer refunds within an hour of cancelling order

Upping its ante in the e-commerce battle, Snapdeal today said it will offer refunds to customers within an hour of getting the returned product.

Last month, Snapdeal’s rival Flipkart had announced its ‘instant refund mechanism facility’ to help customers get refunds as early as within 24 hours of returning the product.

“Snapdeal is the first to introduce an automated, API-based, real-time highly reliable, secure instant refund transfer system based on IMPS technology with one of largest private banks of India,” Snapdeal said in a statement.

Exclusively.com launches beauty category

Luxury and lifestyle products portal, Exclusively.com today said it is adding the beauty category to its platform.

Skincare brands like Forest Essentials, SkinYoga, Ananda Spa, Dermalogica, Thalgo, Pure Earth and Natio will be available through the portal, it said in a statement.

Alcatel Onetouch launches smartwatches in India for Rs 7,999

Devices maker Alcatel OneTouch today announced the launch of its smartwatch range in India, priced at Rs 7,999.

The smartwatch, to be available on e-commerce firm Flipkart, brings together a premium and elegant design at a very accessible price, it said in a statement.

The smartwatch can also be synced with Android smartphone (4.3 and above) or your iPhone (4S and above).
