Kolkata: At least nine people were injured at a metro station when an escalator malfunctioned here on Thursday.
The accident took place when the escalator in the northern end of the Girish Park metro station, moving in upward direction, suddenly started moving downwards.
Out of the injured, three have been rushed to the hospital while others were giving first aid at the station itself.
Meanwhile, a probe has been ordered to find the cause of the incident. (ANI)
