Hyderabad: State Govt. employees went on strike for 42 days demanding separate Telangana State two years back. Govt. of Telangana decided to treat it as special leave. CM of Telangana State, Mr. KCR affixed his signature on this file.
Authentic sources reveled that all the employees of Telangana had organized 42 days strike for separate Telangana State. It had a tremendous impact on Central Govt. It also helped in the formation of separate Telangana State.
It is worth noting that during the last General Elections, TRS had made a promise that this strike would be treated as special leave. After assuming charge, TRS had not paid any special attention in this regard. Many representations were made to the Govt. At last, Govt. reviewed this issue and took a decision to treat it as special leave. Necessary orders would be issued soon.
