Government has taken some important decision in connection with eliminating irregularities and making reformation in Waqf Board. Assistant Secretary Waqf Board has been suspended for failing to protect a valuable Waqf property in the city and acting in favour of occupants. Board authorities returned 4 Deputy Secretaries to the post of assistant secretary.
Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board took action against Assistant Secretary Shaikh Saleem Basha for his alleged involvement in the development of Waqf property Tabela Safar Khan, a prime land located at Moazzam Jahi market. It is said that Shaikh Saleem Basha without the knowledge of Waqf board not only finalised development agreement but also helped in its registration.
He was suspended after he failed to give satisfactory answer to the show-cause notice.
