Marketing Minister T Harish Rao today directed the officials to set up three Rythu Bazars on a war footing in Chevella, Pargi and Tandur towns in Ranga Reddy district. The Government has issued orders to this extent here on Tuesday and sanctioned Rs 50 lakhs for Chevella rythu bazar he said. The minister asked the officials to expedite the process of setting up Rythu Bazars with all facilities. On finding the difficulty of the farmers of these areas, the minister took a step to get them remunerative price through setting up of new rythu bazaars at their places.
This will help the farmers sell their vegetables for remunerative prices at local level. He also said that this step will avoid middlemen and help the consumers get fresh and new vegetables at affordable price, Harish Rao stated.
He also said that so far, the farmers of these areas used to take much pain and time to shift the vegetables to Hyderabad and Bowenpally markets. The minister appealed to the farmers to make use of the new Rythu bazaars and get benefit of their produce. (NSS)
