October 21 was the last date for submission of applications for Driver Cum Owner scheme provided by Minority Finance Corporation. On an estimate 2385 applications were submitted. Special counters were set up by Minority Finance Corporation till 12 midnight where candidates submitted their documents.
According to Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation B Shafiullah, scrutiny of applications is in progress. He told that candidates will be preferred on the basis of seniority of driving licence and fulfilment of conditions. Under the scheme 50 percent cost will be provided by Minority Finance Corporation as subsidy while 50 percent amount will be given as bank loan.
