Faridabad: An 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a neighbour after giving her sedative-laden drinks here, police said on Thursday.
The girl, in her complaint, accused her neighbor Ayub of giving her sedative-laden drinks and raping her on August 11 while she was at his residence.
The victim, a resident of Kalandar Colony Ballabgarh, had gone to her neighour’s house when Ayub gave her some soft drink after which she fell unconscious and raped her, the complaint said.
A case was registered on Wednesday with Police Station Ballabgarh city in Faridabad under section 376 and 506 of IPC. The police have started investigation in the case, investigating Officer ASI Rameshwari said.
Meanwhile, in another case, a 22-year-old married woman was allegedly raped and blackmailed by a man in Faridabad district, police said on Thursday.
According to a complaint filed by the victim, she met accused Rakesh, a resident of Sector-65 in Faridabad, and both became friends.
The victim was intercepted by Rakesh on August 25 while she was on her way to office and was told by the accused to come with him, police said. Rakesh showed the victim her photo in which she was not fully dressed, and allegedly blackmailed her, they said.
He threatened the victim of sending the photos to her husband if she did not accompany him on his bike. Later, she was taken to village Bachawali in District Bulandshahar in UP, police said. She was assaulted and raped by the accused. Later, the accused dropped her near her house on the same day.
A case was registered with Police Station Bhupani in Faridabad yesterday under section 366, 341,342, 376, 354, 323 and 506 of IPC and section 3, 33 and 89 of SCST Act and 66E of IT Act.
The police have started investigations in the case, said ACP Sarai Yashpal Khatana.
