18 hurt as TDP, TRS workers clash in Palakurti; Errabelli held

Tension gripped Palakurti Market yard in Warangal district when supporters of TDP and TRS indulged in stone throwing during the visit of Telangana TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao.

 

In the incident, some 10 TDP workers, five TRS activists, two lensmen and a police constable sustained injuries. Trouble began when the TRS supporters tried to stop Errabelli which led to clashes between supporters of the two parties. Palakurti Sub-Inspector Usman Sharif was injured grievously.

 

There was tension in the village. Police took Errabelli Dayakar Rao into preventive custody. (NSS)
