Kabul: A group of unknown men shot dead 13 civilians in Afghanistan’s northern Balkh province on Saturday, a local official said.

“The group of armed men, presumably Taliban militants, intercepted two civilian vehicles and shot 13 passengers in Zari district of Balkh province,” Xinhua quoted the official, Abdul Rahim as saying.
