12% reservation for Muslims triggers zeal – Recommendation of BC Commission insisted

Hyderabad: The campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Daily to ensure 12% reservation for Muslims has triggered enthusiasm among the Muslim youths. Many leaders from community, religious and political organizations are being associated with this movement. Representations have been started for the implementation of election promise of Mr. KCR. Petitions were submitted in Medak, Ranga Reddy, Adilabad and Nizamabad districts yesterday. Several representations were made in Bhainsa and Bodhan Mandals.

 

On the one hand Muslim organizations are demanding 12% reservations in the fields of education and employment and on the other hand, they are insisting to make sure that these reservations stand to legal formalities.

 

Mr. Shakeel Amer, TRS MLA of Bodhan welcomed the campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Daily for 12% reservation for Muslims. He expressed his delight that the Muslims got united to get their rights fulfilled. He further told that a commission has been formed to ensure reservations. Mr. Abid Ahmed Sufi, TRS Chief of Bodhan Town, Mr. T.C. Rao, Mr. Sharad Reddy, Mr. Mohammed Azam, Mr. Shaik Mahmood Husain were present on this occasion. A delegation of Students’ Islamic Organization of India, Bhainsa branch met Mr. Ram Mohan, Tehsildar of Bhainsa and presented the memorandum. They demanded that dilly dallying tactics adopted by the previous Govt. should not be repeated. Reservations which do not stand to legal sanctions should not be given. BCs Commission should be asked to furnish the report on reservation for Muslims which alone would be beneficial to Muslim Community. The Muslims insisted that instead of Sudheer Commission, BCs Commission should be formed and its recommendations should be implemented.

 

Along with the Muslims other secular leaders also joined Siasat’s campaign for 12% reservations for Muslims. They said that they totally support this movement.

 

Mr. Mohammed Abid Husain Farooqui, President of Jamat-e-Islami of Bodhan Town, Maulana Abdul Hameed Jameel, President, Jamiat-ul-Ulema of Bodhan, Mr. Syed Ashfaq, Municipal Councilor of Bodhan met Mr. Mohammed Shakeel Amer, TRS MLA of Bodhan. The delegation included Mr. Irshadul Haq, President of SIO and Mr. Syed Sarfaraz, Secretary.

 

The delegation told the Tahsildar of Bhainsa that Mr. KCR had made a promise during his election campaign that he would provide 12% reservation to Muslims but even after the lapse of one year, he did not fulfill his promise. The delegation further told that the Muslims of Telangana region are backward in all the walks of life. They impressed upon him that no group of Muslims is inferior or superior. The Govt., therefore should provide reservation to all the Muslims without discriminating any group.

 

The delegation of SIO decided to intensify the protest if reservations are not provide on time. It welcomed the campaign started by Siasat Urdu Daily and applauded the efforts of Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily. They impressed the need for the Muslims to strengthen his hands for the success of this movement. The delegation of SIO included Mr. Mohammed Irfan, Mr. Hafeez Khan, Mr. Mohammed Mujahid Ahmed, Mr. Mohammed Zubair and others.
