Hyderabad: Mr. Mohammed Ayub Khan Ghouri, Secretary of Greater Hyderabad Central Committee of Awaaz Organization presented a memorandum to RDO Hyderabad. He demanded the Govt. to provide 12% reservation for Muslims by constituting BCs Commission. He also demanded to allocate sub-plan for Minorities. He informed that Muslims constitute 14% of the total population. Most of the Muslims lead the life below poverty line. 80% Muslims belonging to 12 lakh families are engaged in petty occupations like Mechanics, Drivers, Hotel workers, footpath traders and Hawkers.
Sachar Committee and Mishra Commission reported that the Muslims are worst than SCs and STs. He demanded the Govt. to provide 12% reservations for Muslims in education and employment in order to make their condition better.
