10K houses for homeless in Hyderabad: KTR

IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said some 10,000 houses for the poor will be built this year in Hyderabad.

During a visit to Bansilalpet division, along with ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and T. Padma Rao Goud, KTR laid foundation for 167 double bedroom houses. Speaking on the occasion, he said the State Government was committed to provide permanent shelter to the poor in the twin cities. The houses will be built similar to those built in the IDH Colony, the IT minister said.

The beneficiaries in the IDH colony are happy with two bedroom houses and facilities, he claimed. He also reiterated that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is a man to keep his promises made. The TRS Government, he said, was implementing several welfare schemes as no other State in the country was doing so. (NSS)
